This unit begins with lessons on using the "NXT Video Trainer 2.0" product from Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Academy and the NXT-G programming software from Lego the MINDSTORMS NXT Education Base Set. Students then write their first program in NXT-G with the "Moving Straight" lesson. The "How Far?" and "How Fast?" lessons emphasize some of the math and science concepts behind moving straight ahead. | |
